Clean 03 EP3 - 70,000 miles, $8000
I bought this EP3 a few weeks ago and decided it just isn't for me. I'm in no hurry to sell, though, and my price is firm.
The good: It has 70k miles (but it is my DD so miles will go up). All service records from the first owner (up to over 50k miles) are there. Oil changes, repairs, etc. The second owner replaced the entire sunroof assembly and said he paid over $1200 to do it and repainted the roof. Gears and clutch are all great, and it has no mods at all - nothing. It shows no evidence of being abused.
The bad: It has some dings, some scratches and one very small, shallow dent (that could probably be fixed at a paintless dent place for cheap). Some rust near the hatch hinges that is an easy fix with Rust Bullet, etc. Interior is great except it had torn leather on the wheel and shift knob, so I removed the leather. No rear package shelf and the hatch panels have some scuffs from use. Will need new tires before too long. It has blacked out tail lights. It appears to be some kind of translucent paint and I'll clean those up soon (already fixed the headlights). Freon is low and I'll have that professionally fixed before selling. SRS light is on. From all I've read online I'm 99.9% sure this is the driver's side seat belt buckle which is a lifetime warranty item. It hasn't bothered me enough to take it to the dealership yet and I really don't plan too any time soon because I hate dealing with the local Honda place. Anyway, some little issues but nothing major, that's why I'm selling it for under the KBB trade value.
I'm in N. FL about 35 miles north of Gainesville. For the the low miles it is a fair price, and a lot cheaper than dealers are asking for '03's with high miles. I really like driving it but I'm just wanting something different. I would also be open to trading for a Celica GT-S in great shape with under 80k miles but I'm not driving to S. FL. Also(and this is a long shot I know) but I'm also willing to throw in a 2002 Nissan Frontier crew cab truck with 200k miles plus the EP for a clean S2000 with under 80k miles. It runs well and has the usual minor problems that a truck with 200k miles has but does have a new timing belt and water pump, new plugs, wires and I'll also get the a/c professionally fixed if there is any interest.
