you want to preserve the OEM originality but then go and spray the whole car Y-49 disregarding the 2 tone black trim? personally i dont see how this car is worth 6500 with the few things you have done, but good luck with the sale anyway.

Well I sprayed to update the look, my preference...to paint them flat black is not rocket science, and ultimately a correctable action.

Not to be a dick, but who makes you the car pricing authority? If someone does not like the price thats fine. Spouting negativity in my thread with no solid basis for it is a little bit, well ignorant.

Now here is my supporting info for MY justification on MY car...Hope it helps you view this different.

    ENGINE/MODS:
    MOTOR/TRANS-------------------1900

    JDM HONDATA S300 on a PR3---495$
    Cometic Head Gasket,--------------95$
    ARP Headstuds, -------------------144$
    Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket--50$
    GSR Throttle body------------------300$
    AEBS Intake Manifold. ------------169$
    AEM Fuel Rail ----------------------111$
    GSR injectors, ----------------------300$
    DC short ram intake----------------FREE
    Type-R oil pump--------------------133$
    Water Pump -------------------------74$
    Greddy Header ----------------- ---350$
    2.5 inch Custom Exhaust----------300$
    OPTIMA yellow top. ---------------200$
    HASPORT MOUNTS ---------------333$
    A/C hasport kit---------------------199$
    Drivetrain: Excedy Clutch-------420$
    Light flywheel----------------------220$

    Wheels: O.Z. Ultraleggera-------800$
    Corbeau Seats---------------------1200$
    Brackets----------------------------200$
    New sunroof/seal------------------400$
    Paint--------------------------------1500$
    Market car price------------------1500$

    TOTAL? 11260$

**Note this is not a complete list of parts I can go on for a while. Shipping, tax, labor, etc. was not put in, so it would not look like I was slating this to my advantage.

**Yet another thing to consider is that I have the original window sticker, oil changes and maintnance records dating back to the sales year, show me THAT on the average honda on a similar age bracket.

The truth of the matter is that most hondas unfortunately are pummeled to death by irresponsible, cheap, ricer-owners etc. This one has not been.

I see K-series swapped going for 12g's or more, and I get it 5000$ motor blah blah...Its still in a 2000$ car. Usually beat up. So this leads me to believe that its all about desirability, and thats ok.

Now me being a realistic person I will take off 4000$ off that 11260$ to deal with depreciation.

    That puts us at 7260$

I am asking for 6500 OBO, so still not worth it according to your opinion? That is fine I respect that. Next time just give me your opinion on a more solid foundation or keep it to yourself.

    Have a good day gents.

lol sorry man didnt mean to get you into a furry, you have to see it from others point of view, 6500 for a 20 year old civic is just crazy. 4k is pushing it especially in this current economy. The cars clean as hell ill give you that, youve put a lot of work into it. Youd be better off selling some parts from it and selling it in a more stock state and get more out of it. just my opinion. And dont worry i have all the original documentation for my car as well its a nice thing to have. again good luck with your sale id love to see you get something close for what you invested into the car, but it just doesnt happen that way.

LOL no worries brother. As you have noticed from our postings to each other in the past, its not that serious. It looks like Im in a frenzy like Michael Jackson at a unattended daycare center. I think I just have too much downtime at work. I know the economy is trash and all that. The price is what I would let the car go for as a cash offer.(OBO) My main intent is to trade it out for something more useful in the realm of back seats or better yet, 4-doors. So for instance a young buck/gal says I have a 4 door XXXX clean and nice but, in the words of Ricky Bobby, he wants to go/look fast(er) with a 2 door 2 seater. His/her worth a lil more than my car, well take 6-6.5k off the price Ill give you the difference. I see you have been putting in some serious work on yours. Let me know if you ever need some help.

    P.S. 20 years=classic plates...

No they are not investments. The rule of thumb on aftermarket parts is 40% of retail. I have taken way more off to deal with the bad economy.
